Anni Manchi Sakunamule Is A Cool Family Drama, says Producers Swapna and Priyanka Dutt

- Producers Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt are up for their next release after the recent blockbuster Sita Ramam.
- Their latest venture in collaboration with Nandini Reddy and Shoban-Malvika Nair is ‘Anni Manchi Sakunamule (AMS)’ which is going to be released on May 18. The duo spoke about their latest movie in an interview. Excerpts in their words
AMS is a cool and straight family drama. The story takes place in the backdrop of a hill station where most of the film was shot. It will be like going back to one’s grandmother’s hometown during the summer holidays.
It is such a good story we wanted to work it out even when we are dealing with magnum opus Project K. Generally, we don’t do multiple projects at a time.
The story involves two families which share a strong bonding.
The director Nandini Reddy made up a fictional town and the audience will be transcended to the village a few minutes into the film. The hill station backdrop adds a lot of beauty to the film.
We believe AMS will also win the hearts of the audience as Sita Ramam did. For us, every film is a learning experience irrespective of its performance at the box office and the budget of the film. Jathi Ratnalu did much more than anyone of us expected at the box office.
Nag Ashwin was more impressed than any one of us with the success of Jathi Ratnalu.
Project K is nothing like Dune, a Hollywood film. Audience will know it as they get to know more about Project K. Seventy per cent of Project K’s shoot is completed.
