According to sources close to the Allu family, her mortal remains will be brought to the Aravind residence shortly, and the last rites will be performed in Kokapet on Saturday afternoon.
The passing of Allu Kanakaratnam, a revered elder in the illustrious Allu family, has left the Telugu cinema industry mourning. Several prominent personalities from film and political circles are expected to pay their respects, while social media has already been flooded with condolence messages from colleagues, fans, and well-wishers.
Meanwhile, Mega Power Star Ram Charan, who is currently shooting for director Buchi Babu Sana’s highly anticipated action drama Peddi in Mysore, cancelled the day’s shoot and immediately returned to Hyderabad to participate in the final rites.
The Peddi team had been in the midst of filming a grand introduction song for Ram Charan, choreographed by Jani Master, featuring over 1000 dancers. This spectacular number, composed by Academy Award-winning music director A.R. Rahman, had commenced on Vinayaka Chaturthi and was being shot on an epic scale. Industry insiders revealed that the track was shaping up to be one of the biggest highlights of the film, designed as a mass-appeal visual feast for fans.
Despite the temporary interruption in the shoot, the buzz around Peddi remains sky-high. With its grandeur, scale, and stellar combination of Ram Charan, Buchi Babu Sana, and A.R. Rahman, the film is already one of the most eagerly awaited projects in Indian cinema. The movie is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday.
The Allu family, one of the most influential families in Telugu cinema, is now receiving heartfelt condolences as the industry rallies around them in this moment of loss.
