Allari Naresh Promises Non-Stop Fun with ‘Rambha Urvashi Menaka’
“Rambha Urvashi Menaka will guarantee a fun-filled theatrical experience,” says Allari Naresh at the teaser launch
Allari Naresh is all set to return to his trademark comedy zone with the upcoming fantasy comedy entertainer ‘Rambha Urvashi Menaka’. Directed by Chandra Mohan Chintada, the film is produced by Rajesh Danda and Nimmakayala Prasad under the banners of Annapurna Studios and Hasya Movies.
Following the release of the first look and the popular song ‘Naa Kanti Meeda Kanule’, the makers have now unveiled the much-awaited teaser, offering a glimpse into a fantasy world packed with comedy, entertainment and hilarious situations.
The teaser begins with a father introducing his son to a mysterious family magic book. According to the story, drawing the right muggu on the book can bring the celestial apsaras Rambha, Urvashi and Menaka from Indralok to Earth. After 25 years of attempts, the wish finally comes true. However, the hero soon discovers that bringing the three apsaras to the human world is much easier than handling them.
The teaser showcases Allari Naresh in a role that perfectly suits his comic timing and expressive performance. Set against a rural backdrop, the film appears to blend village humour with fantasy elements. Surabhi plays the female lead, while Vennela Kishore is set to entertain audiences as Indra.
One of the teaser’s highlights is Vennela Kishore’s hilarious delivery of the popular ‘Kathi Anduko Janaki’ dialogue associated with veteran actor Krishnam Raju, giving the moment an additional dose of fun.
Naresh VK plays Allari Naresh’s father, while Raashi Singh, Vishnupriya and Prisha Singh portray Rambha, Urvashi and Menaka respectively. Srinivasa Reddy, Racha Ravi and Murali Goud are also part of the ensemble cast.
Director Chandra Mohan Chintada appears to have balanced fantasy and comedy effectively, creating a colourful entertainer aimed at audiences of all age groups. Cinematographer Ram Reddy captures both the rustic village atmosphere and the grandeur of Indralok, while art director Brahma Kadali adds scale and richness to the fantasy world. Music director Chaitan Bharadwaj provides energetic music and background score, with Chota K. Prasad handling the editing.
Allari Naresh: “You’ll See the Naresh You Missed”
Speaking at the teaser launch, Allari Naresh said that it had been nearly a decade since he had done a full-fledged comedy film.
“I have been waiting for a good script for a long time. After Naandhi, I explored several serious films, but I never left comedy. When Chandra Mohan narrated this story, I immediately liked it. Working with Annapurna Studios and Hasya Movies made the experience even more special,” he said.
Recalling his association with Nagarjuna, Naresh added that he had been a huge fan of the actor since childhood and had previously worked with him in Naa Saami Ranga. He said that getting an opportunity to headline a film under Nagarjuna’s banner was a privilege.
“I am very confident about this film. Audiences will see the Allari Naresh they have missed for almost ten years. We worked extremely hard to entertain you for two-and-a-half hours. I thoroughly enjoyed making this film. Chaitan Bharadwaj has delivered excellent songs and background music. On September 4, I will definitely make you laugh. I guarantee that this film will provide great entertainment in theatres,” he said.
Rajesh Danda: “Theatres Will Echo with Laughter”
Producer Rajesh Danda expressed confidence in the film and praised director Chandra Mohan for exceeding expectations.
“Annapurna Studios completing 50 years makes this collaboration even more special. Allari Naresh will entertain audiences with his vintage comedy. Chandra Mohan is one of the best directors I have worked with. He made the film even better than the story he narrated. Theatres will echo with laughter,” he said.
Rajesh Danda also revealed that he is so confident about the film that another project with Allari Naresh will be announced even before the release of Rambha Urvashi Menaka.
Cast and Crew Confident About the Film
Heroine Surabhi said she was delighted to work alongside Allari Naresh, whom she considers one of her favourite actors. Raashi Singh, Prisha Rajesh and Vishnupriya thanked the director and producers for giving them the opportunity to be part of the film and expressed confidence that audiences would enjoy the theatrical experience.
Director Chandra Mohan Chintada explained that the teaser was designed to introduce the film’s major characters. He revealed that Allari Naresh plays Suri, a relatable, natural character who resembles the boy-next-door.
Writer Nandu said the teaser reveals only a small portion of what the film has in store. “We have shown only around 10 percent in the teaser. The movie will have much more fun. Audiences will get to see the kind of comedy they enjoyed in Allari Naresh’s popular films such as Kitakitalu, Blade Babji, Seema Sastry and Sudigadu,” he said.
Music director Chaitan Bharadwaj said the film is packed with fun and revealed that he enjoyed working on the background score so much that he found himself laughing throughout the process.
Editor Chota K. Prasad also expressed confidence in the film, saying audiences had missed Allari Naresh’s signature comedy for quite some time and that Rambha Urvashi Menaka would more than make up for that gap.
With fantasy, rural comedy, colourful characters and Allari Naresh returning to his familiar comic territory, ‘Rambha Urvashi Menaka’ is creating positive buzz ahead of its theatrical release. The film is slated for a grand worldwide release on September 4.
