How did this movie journey begin?
We worked on different television shows, and that’s how we got to know Pradeep. For his first movie, we shot a promotional song at the end, which was an exciting experience for us. We often share creative thoughts with Pradeep, and one day, we shared this idea. He liked it. Later, we developed a bound script and narrated the whole story to him. He was impressed, and that’s how this project started.
The title Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbai originally belongs to Pawan Kalyan’s film. How justified is it for this movie?
We chose this title because it perfectly suits our movie. Yes, it is originally a Pawan Kalyan film title, and it will definitely add publicity value. However, we selected it because it aptly fits the storyline.
How has the journey been from TV to films?
It’s been a beautiful journey. Television and movies are very different. Fiction and non-fiction are also vastly different. We never worked as assistant directors in fiction projects. In non-fiction, judgments are made instantly, but in films, each scene is shot at different times and under different circumstances. We don’t know how the audience will react until the movie is released. However, we had an amazing team. Our DOP Bal Reddy and music director Radhan delivered excellent work and supported us immensely. Thanks to great teamwork, we made an incredible film.
Since you have done a lot of skits, did you incorporate anything from them?
Every skit is a story in itself, but a movie is a longer story. The comedy in this film is highly situational and organic. It’s a romantic entertainer with a lot of situational humor.
What about actors like Brahmanandam and Satya?
Their roles are naturally integrated into the story. Audiences will enjoy their performances.
Can you tell us about the heroine Deepika Pilli’s character?
We wanted to cast a Telugu actress for this role, so we held auditions accordingly. Deepika Pilli was a perfect fit for the character, which is quite interesting.

Radhan composed music that perfectly aligns with the soul of the film. He personally connected with the story and created an amazing soundtrack. Additionally, Shekar Master’s choreography has received a great response.
Are you working on any future projects as directors?
We have a few concepts in mind. After the release of this film, we will think about what’s next.
