“Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit Promises Intense Emotions & Thrilling Surprises”
Adivi Sesh is all set to captivate audiences once again with his pan-India film Dacoit. The recently released theatrical trailer hints at an intense, emotionally charged narrative packed with suspense and drama. Directed by debutant Shaneil Deo, the film appears to be a compelling cinematic experience.
The story of Dacoit revolves around the intense relationship between Hari and Juliet. Dreaming of a peaceful life, the couple’s world is shattered by betrayal, leading Hari to prison. However, his escape triggers a dramatic turn in the narrative. Meanwhile, Juliet fights desperately to save her ailing daughter, needing a large sum of money. Under these circumstances, Hari transforms from a lover into a survivor, stepping into the world of crime while exploiting Juliet’s vulnerability.
Director Shaneil Deo presents the story in a unique narrative style, blending past memories with present events. With Adivi Sesh also contributing to the story, the emotional interplay between love, betrayal, and survival feels powerful and layered.
Mrunal Thakur delivers a remarkable performance as Juliet, portraying both a lover and a mother with depth and conviction. Anurag Kashyap appears as a cool yet intense police officer, adding tension to the narrative. Veteran actor Prakash Raj strengthens the film with his experience, while actors like Sunil and Atul Kulkarni make solid contributions.
Technically, the film stands out with cinematography by Dhanush Bhaskar, which gives it a raw and stylish visual tone. The background score by Ghani enhances the suspense effectively. Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda with co-producer Suniel Narang and presented by Annapurna Studios, the film boasts top-notch production values.
The trailer has already generated significant buzz, raising expectations among audiences. Scheduled for a pan-India release on April 10, Dacoit promises to deliver a high-voltage cinematic experience.
Highlights from the Trailer Launch Press Meet
Adivi Sesh said:
“It’s not about how many films we’ve done, but how many good films we’ve made—that’s my philosophy. Dacoit is a film we made with our heart and soul. There are many important elements in the story that we haven’t revealed in the trailer. Audiences will feel thrilled while watching the film. The core idea explores what a person is willing to steal when their heart is broken. It’s a layered narrative driven by emotions.”
He further added that the film carries a Bhojpuri cultural flavor, which is why singer Pawan Singh was brought in to represent that essence. He also mentioned that predicting the story after the first 30 minutes would be extremely difficult.
