The highly anticipated movie Sankranthiki Vastunnam is coming from the collaboration of Victory Venkatesh, blockbuster hit machine Anil Ravipudi, and the most successful banner, Sri Venkateswara Creations. Presented by Dil Raju and grandly produced by Sirish, the film features Meenakshi Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh as the heroines. The sensational composer Bheems Ceciroleo has provided the music. The songs released from the film have already become sensational hits, creating a huge buzz around the movie. Sankranthiki Vastunnam is set to release on January 14.
How does it feel to be part of Sankranthiki Vastunnam?
I feel very happy and grateful. This is my first time trying the comedy genre. Playing a cop role in a comedic space was very exciting. Watching me in this role will be a new experience for the audience. I also performed action sequences for the first time in this film, and I believe the audience will enjoy it immensely.
How does it feel to have a movie releasing during Sankranthi?
Last year, my movie Guntur Kaaram was released during Sankranthi, and now this film is releasing. It’s a joyful experience. This journey feels like a dream. I’m thankful to the director and producers who believed in me and gave me such wonderful opportunities. I’m happy to have roles and stories that allow me to prove myself.
Did you take any references for your cop role?
Playing a cop has been my dream, and I feel lucky to get this opportunity early in my career. I didn’t take any references, but my father is an Army officer, so I already had an idea about an officer’s body language. I also did some homework to prepare for the role.
How was it working with Venkatesh Garu?
Working with Venkatesh Garu was a super experience. He is a wonderful human being, always cheerful, and his comedic timing is extraordinary. The combination of Anil Garu and Venkatesh Garu is a super hit, and there was great rapport on set. Every scene flowed wonderfully. Venkatesh Garu is very fit and energetic, and working with him was a great experience.
How was it sharing screen space with Aishwarya Rajesh?
Aishwarya Rajesh is an established actor. I’ve watched many of her films, and it felt like a fan moment. She is very positive, and working with her was a happy experience. I learned a lot from her.
The songs from the movie have become big hits. What do you think about Bheems’ music?
This is the first time all the songs in a film I’ve acted in have become super hits. The song Godari Gattu became a sensational hit, followed by the song My Name is Meenu, which received an amazing response. Similarly, the Blockbuster Pongal Song has garnered tremendous love. Bheems has given extraordinary music. Just as the music became a blockbuster hit, I hope the movie will also be a blockbuster.
The promotions for the movie are quite unique. How do you feel about them?
I’ve had time to actively participate in the promotions for this film. We’re promoting the movie with new and creative ideas. Doing skits with Venky Mama’s characters has been a fun experience.
How was it working under Anil Ravipudi’s direction?
Anil Garu’s comedic timing is fantastic. Creating comedy isn’t easy—it requires spontaneous thinking to enhance scenes. His ideas for scene improvement are excellent. Since this is my first time doing comedy, he patiently explained everything in detail. Working with him was a great experience.
What kind of film is Sankranthiki Vastunnam?
It’s a good family subject. A major portion of the film is comedy. It’s a clean family entertainer with all emotions.
How was it working under Dil Raju’s production?
Working in Dil Raju Garu’s production was a wonderful experience. It felt great to be part of the promotions as well. Sirish Garu was very supportive. I hope to do more films under their banner. I wish the upcoming movies Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vastunnam under Dil Raju Garu’s banner become big successes.
How was it meeting Balayya Garu on Unstoppable?
Balayya Garu is the one and only OG (laughing). He is always active, energetic, and a wonderful person.
What about your upcoming films?
I’m doing a film with Naveen Polishetty, and two more films will be announced by the makers soon. I’m hoping this year will also be wonderful.
