Veteran actor Srikanth and actress Laya play the lead roles in the upcoming out-and-out family entertainer “Mr. Middle Class,” directed by renowned filmmaker G. Nageswara Reddy. Featuring Rajendra Prasad in a pivotal role, the film is being produced by GK and CN. The makers officially launched the film’s teaser today in the presence of distinguished guests, director S.V. Krishna Reddy and producer K. Achchi Reddy.
Speaking at the teaser launch event, Srikanth expressed his happiness about returning to a teaser launch as a lead actor after a long gap.
“I am delighted to be here today. When producer Kamalakar approached me with the idea of making a wholesome entertainer, I immediately agreed. My confidence in the project increased even further when I learned that Nageswara Reddy garu would be directing it. It has been a long time since I worked on a film that genuinely reflects the lives and emotions of middle-class families. Working on this project was an enjoyable and memorable experience,” he said.
Srikanth praised his co-stars and technicians, adding, “Muraleedhar garu has impeccable comic timing and plays my father in the film. Reuniting with Laya after many years has been wonderful. She is as graceful and talented as ever. Sai Karthik has delivered excellent music, and it was a pleasure working again with talented actors like Sunil, Vennela Kishore, Raghu Babu, and Ali. Rajendra Prasad garu has portrayed the role of Lord Venkateswara Swamy with remarkable sincerity and dedication. Diamond Rathna Babu’s dialogues are a major strength. I strongly believe this film will become a big success.”
Laya said she felt as though she was working with family members throughout the shoot.
“Most of the team members are people I have worked with before, so it felt very comfortable and familiar. I loved the story the moment Nageswara Reddy garu narrated it to me. I found myself laughing throughout the narration. This is a story that every audience member can relate to, and the film is packed with hilarious moments. It has been a long time since I acted in a wholesome family entertainer, and I am thrilled to be part of one again. Srikanth garu remains the same humble and dedicated person he has always been, and he has delivered a fantastic performance,” she said.
Director G. Nageswara Reddy expressed gratitude to his mentor S.V. Krishna Reddy, saying, “I owe my career to him. Everything I learned about filmmaking came from him. Without his guidance, I would not have become a director. ‘Mr. Middle Class’ will be a strong comeback film for Srikanth garu. The story carries a universal appeal and will connect with audiences across India. Along with laughter, the film also conveys a meaningful message about karma and its consequences. Every scene is designed to entertain, and I am confident audiences will thoroughly enjoy it.”
Producer Chandu stated that the team immediately loved the script when it was narrated to them.
“We completed the film in a positive and friendly atmosphere. Nageswara Reddy garu has crafted the film brilliantly, and the performances of Srikanth and Laya will surely impress audiences,” he said.
Director S.V. Krishna Reddy wished the team success and remarked, “I hope this film becomes a major milestone in Nageswara Reddy’s career. Srikanth has once again delivered a wonderful performance. Rajendra Prasad is like a member of our family, and seeing such a talented cast come together is truly special. The producers have backed the film with great commitment, and I believe audiences should not miss this entertainer.”
Producer K. Achchi Reddy praised Nageswara Reddy’s growth as a filmmaker.
“We knew he would become a successful director even during his days as an associate director. His involvement in every aspect of filmmaking is extraordinary. He has consistently delivered successful films and has an exceptional ability to handle emotions and entertainment. I am confident ‘Mr. Middle Class’ will delight audiences,” he said.
Music director Sai Karthik revealed an interesting aspect of the film.
“The film revolves around a fascinating question—what would we ask for if God appeared before us? By the end of the movie, audiences will wish that the magical box seen in the film lands in their own homes. Rajendra Prasad garu is exceptional as Lord Venkateswara Swamy, and Srikanth’s performance will be loved by everyone. After watching the film multiple times during re-recording, I can confidently say that it has all the ingredients of a successful entertainer.”
Writer Diamond Rathna Babu described the film as a reflection of every middle-class individual’s life.
“Every middle-class viewer will see a part of themselves in Srikanth’s character. The film gave me the opportunity to transform the everyday conversations we have with God into meaningful and entertaining dialogues. Rajendra Prasad garu looks as though Lord Venkateswara Swamy himself has come to life on screen. We are all confident that audiences will embrace and enjoy this film,” he said.
