“Shambhala Pulls Audiences Into Its Mystic World Within Minutes: Archana Iyer”
Shambhala: A Mystic World, starring Aadi Saikumar in the lead, is produced by Mahidhar Reddy and Rajasekhar Annabhimoju under the Shining Pictures banner. Directed by Ugandhar Muni and featuring music by Sricharan Pakala, the film is all set for a grand theatrical released, the film has already received an encouraging response through its premiere shows. As part of the promotions, heroine Archana Iyer interacted with the media and shared interesting insights about the film and her journey. Here are the highlights:
On her background
“I’m a Telugu girl from the Chittoor district. Though I completed my education in Bengaluru, Telugu is my mother tongue and I’m deeply connected to my roots.”
Response to Shambhala premieres
“The response has been extremely positive. Almost every premiere show is running houseful, and in many theatres, audiences are genuinely getting scared while watching the film. That reaction itself is very satisfying.”
About her character Devi
“People are really appreciating my character Devi. Whenever I appear on screen, the audience seems happy. My combination scenes with Aadi are getting a great response, and several directors have already called to congratulate me, which feels very encouraging.”
First reaction to the story narration
“I actually agreed to do the film even before hearing the full narration. The screenplay impressed me instantly. The team was very clear that this role doesn’t involve routine romantic songs or dance numbers, and that excited me even more. I’m grateful to get such a unique role so early in my career.”
On changing audience preferences
“Audience taste has changed a lot. People no longer want routine films—they come to theatres only when there’s something new and engaging. Especially after COVID, viewers are very selective. I feel lucky to be part of a film like Shambhala that offers a fresh experience.”

What audiences can expect from Shambhala
“Within the first five minutes, audiences will be transported into the world of Shambhala. This is a film that must be experienced in theatres to truly feel the vibe. Visually and technically, it’s very grand. It touches multiple emotions and, in my opinion, it’s a perfect Christmas watch.”
Upcoming projects and role choices
“I’m currently working on a fantasy film with People Media Factory, set around 500 years ago and mounted on a large scale. I always choose roles I’m comfortable with, but if the story demands it, I’m open to romance as well. My aim is to take up challenging roles and be part of films with strong stories.”
On family support
“My parents’ support means everything to me. My mother and brother are always by my side, and their opinions matter a lot when I choose my roles. Their constant encouragement gives me confidence.”
Compliments after the premieres
“People who watched the premieres are shocked by my role. Once they come out of the theatre, their perception about me changes completely. Roles like Devi don’t come often—sometimes only once in a lifetime. Getting such a character at the very start of my career feels like pure luck.”
Final words on Shambhala
“Seeing the love and response the film is receiving makes the entire team very happy. We’re thrilled with the premiere reactions. Shambhala is a film that will truly captivate audiences.”
