‘Dacoit’ Is a Big Film Made on International Standards; Everyone Will Definitely Enjoy It: Adivi Sesh at the Teaser Launch Event
Adivi Sesh’s ‘Dacoit’ Mind-Blowing Teaser Unveiled
After delivering back-to-back blockbusters, Adivi Sesh is all set to entertain audiences with his prestigious project ‘Dacoit’. The film marks the directorial debut of Shaniel Deo and is positioned as an intense love and action drama. Mrunal Thakur plays the female lead, while acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap appears in a powerful role. Veteran actors Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, and Sunil are also part of the stellar cast.
Following the release of a special poster on Adivi Sesh’s birthday, the makers unveiled the highly impressive teaser today, which has significantly raised expectations for the film.
The teaser presents a gripping love story and a ruthless journey driven by a hero with a larger purpose. Love and robbery form the core themes, making the narrative intriguing and intense. Adivi Sesh surprises everyone by stepping into a mass-oriented role for the first time, delivering a striking performance with multiple shades. His rugged look and the way he speaks in the Madanapalle accent stand out as major highlights.
Mrunal Thakur’s character evolves alongside Sesh’s journey, adding emotional depth by balancing innocence and vulnerability. The teaser also introduces Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, and Sunil in crucial roles, promising a powerful on-screen experience with an ensemble of seasoned performers.
Technically, the teaser is top-notch. Cinematographer Danuj Bhaskar’s visuals are stunning, while the action sequences are presented on a grand scale. Jnani’s intense background score elevates the teaser, and the remix of the iconic song “Kanne Pettaro Kannu Kottaro” takes the experience to the next level.
The film boasts excellent production values. Presented by Annapurna Studios, Dacoit is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, with Sunil Narang as co-producer.
This electrifying teaser has massively increased the buzz around the film, which is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026.

“Greetings to everyone. I hope you all liked the teaser. I’ve been reading tweets for a long time where people kept asking where I went and what I was doing,” he said with a smile. “I’m right here, working on this film. We are extremely proud of Dacoit. It’s a big film made in two languages — proper Telugu and Hindi. It’s a true collaboration between a Telugu and a Hindi filmmaker. Shaniel and I co-wrote the film. He’s my best friend, and we both grew up in the US. We blended our cultures to create a hybrid film. Technically, the film is shot in an American style.”
He added, “Working with a world-class filmmaker like Anurag Kashyap sir has been an amazing experience. Mrunal has delivered a brilliant performance, which you will witness on screen. The main reason this film has reached international standards is Supriya garu. Even the idea of remixing ‘Kanne Pettaro Kannu Kottaro’ came from her. Annapurna Studios presenting this film makes us very happy, and Sunil garu and Janhvi garu are taking the project forward in a big way. It feels wonderful to meet you all after a long time.”
