Rajinikanth’s “Coolie” Sets OTT Premiere on Amazon Prime Video This September
Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest action entertainer “Coolie”, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is all set to make its digital debut. After hitting theaters on August 14, the film will now stream on Amazon Prime Video in the second week of September, marking its OTT arrival just four weeks after its grand theatrical release.
While Prime Video has acquired the streaming rights, the platform is expected to announce the official premiere date soon.
Backed by Sun Pictures on a lavish budget, “Coolie” showcases Rajinikanth in a dual-shaded role, promising fans a mix of mass moments and emotional depth. The film also stars Shruti Haasan and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles, with chartbuster music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Though the movie received a mixed response in cinemas, Rajinikanth’s films consistently attract massive viewership on digital platforms. With the superstar’s charisma and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s stylish storytelling, both the makers and Prime Video are confident that “Coolie” will enjoy strong traction online.
